Egg Roll, White Pickled Turnip and Dried Purple Seaweed Soup

When mentioned Japanese cuisine, D& C seems quite popular, and almost becomes a kind of fast food, especially in Beijing. One of my friends is a Fenqing,(Young people who have negative attitudes towards Japan due to the invasion and occupation of China by Imperial Japan, and support aggressive political stances towards Japan.) but he was never hesitated when he ate the beef bowl from Yoshinoy. A beef bowl is not hard to make and Yoshinoy’s beef bowl is really Chinese-style; however, the beef bowl of D&C has been sold for more than a hundred year. From this we can learn that the more ordinary and home-style the food is, the harder to makes the taste yum and everlasting.

Jozee, the Tiger and the Fish is a movie that related to Japanese homemade cuisine, to a certain extent it is a story tells about a allegory of love and cruelty. Love starts in the kitchen and ends in the kitchen. Satoshi Tsumabuki and Ikewaki Chiziru come together. At first, he is so surprised to her paralyzed legs that he thinks she is a monster. However, unexpectedly, after tasting the unbelievable delicious breakfast she made, which is Egg Roll, White Pickled Turnip and Dried Purple Seaweed Soup, he cannot help himself being addicted to the sample but palatable food. In order to go on enjoy his meal, he also brings some materials as cod spawn and carrots. Be logical, when he enjoys this yummy he fells in love with this girl…... This movie reflects how unbelievable delicious an ordinary breakfast can be; moreover, it reflects the blend of love and life: love, desire, insistence, gentleness, ugliness, regret and aftertaste. Of course, it also represents the porridge and pickled like homemade Japanese food’s mild taste, precise method to make and the in style way to match the food.

When love is coming, the girl wants the boy to take her to the zoo to say the tiger which she always scared most and to the oceanarium to see the fish which she want to see most. Then, she tells him: If one day you abandon me, I will feel like a shellfish that get lost. Seems like know something before it will happen, the girl hugs the boy tightly. The pair of hand which can make the ordinary food have unordinary tastes, looks so pale at this time.

The most delicious time for the food is the time the food is chewed between the lip and teeth. However, when the food fells to the stomach there is something seems regretful. Similarly, the girl’s love is destined to be regretful at the end. He goes away, leave her alone. The room is empty, only leave herself barbecuing the fish, looks like barbecuing herself in the charcoal fi re. She looks like a fish, a fish never cares about herself, a fish wishes to reach the warm place, e ven though she know is the edge of the world, she is never hesitated to make herself to be the unforgettable deliciousness of his life.

The Japanese style romance, even in eating, which is so determined, definite, and straightforward, has a beauty so cruel.

I used to live in Japan, and I used to go to Yoshinoya all the time! I used to go there for breakfast too, and I would have a piece of salmon, rice, miso soup and white pickled turnip :-)

Your blog is so romantic. It seems that in Japan relationships are more complicated than the language.
One prosaic remark: I know that Japan imports ,marble meat ( very expensive one) from Alberta.
